The Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (BPhSA) is a non-governmental student organization established in 2007 in Sofia, with its headquarters at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia. Today, the association brings together more than 150 members, all of whom are pharmacy students studying at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Sofia.

BPhSA carries out its activities in order to achieve the following objectives:

• to promote and protect the interests of pharmacy students in Bulgaria;
• to encourage student scientific and research activities;
• to organize public health campaigns, trainings, and lectures in collaboration with leading pharmaceutical companies;
• to improve qualifications, support professional realization, and foster the scientific development of pharmacy students in Bulgaria;
• to provide internship opportunities in pharmaceutical companies;
• to maintain successful cooperation with the Association of Pharmacy Students in Bulgaria – Plovdiv (APhSB–Plovdiv), the Association of Pharmacy Students in Varna (APhSV), and the Association of Pharmacy Students in Pleven (APhS Pleven);
• to work in partnership with other non-governmental and professional organizations such as the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union, Regional Pharmaceutical Chamber – Sofia, National Alliance for People with Rare Diseases, BALI, ASMB, ASI, the Bulgarian Red Cross, and others;
• to support the organization of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days and participate with an exhibition stand;
• to organize team-building activities and various social events.

BPhSA is a full member of the European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (EPSA) and the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF).

Members of the association participate annually in numerous national and international congresses, conferences, and exchange programs.

Any pharmacy student can become a member of BPhSA by submitting a membership application, which can be found on the association’s website. Membership in BPhSA is voluntary and amounts to 8 euros per semester.
